This Download File contains and update for Yachtbroker Professional that fixes the problem with the contacts mail merge. After downloading click onto the file update1Jb.exe and select to unzip. This will overwrite the Yachtbroker professional program file and reset the attachment to the data files. You will therefore have to phone Marine & Leisure Solutions on 00 44 (0)1483 419219 for a new authorization code the first time you run Yachtbroker after the upgrade. Our support staff will ask you for two items the first being the install number displayed during the install and the second item will be your unique office code which is the first three letters of every yacht and contact record. For example Marine & Leisure Solutions = MLS

This self extracting file contains a word template containing the Yachtbroker mail merge macro. The template should be put into the default MS Word startup folder. To identify this fold, open MS Word select the menu Tools->Options->File Locations and StartUp. Note the correct path and type this into the path the self extracting file is to load to.

Winzip allows you to compress windows files for transmitting by email of FTP it also allows you to create self executable files which will de-compress to the directory of your choice. Once the file has been downloaded double click onto the file name and follow the on screen instructions.

Installations Instructions.

Warning. You should always make a backup of your data files before carrying out any maintenance on the system. Please do this before continuing.

To install this file you will need to have a copy of WinZip.exe if you don't have a copy already loaded to your machine click here to download a copy first then follow the rest of the instructions below. 

After downloading the file you will need to unzip it into the C:\ybpro32 directory. Open windows explorer and double click onto the downloaded file ybpro32.zip to open it. Agree to the license terms. When the WinZip window is open. (The following assumes that you have WinZip open in the classic view and not the ) Highlight any files in the file panel and then select the extract toolbar button. At the next window make sure that your selected files are being extracted into the follow directory C:\ybpro32 and then press the extract button. Select the yes button to overwrite existing file/s then close. This will overwrite the Yachtbroker 2000 program file and reset the attachment to the data files. 

Wizard step one
When the above has been completed run Yachtbroker. You will now get an installation Wizard giving you three options. WARNING! Please be careful to select the correct option an explanation of each option is below:
Option One: Only select this option if Yachtbroker 2000 is not installed on the PC.
Option Two: Select this option if you have already converted your data file from v27 to v28 and are just updating your program file
Option Three: Only select this option if you are wanting to convert your data files as well as updating the program file.  

Wizard step two
The next window will display a number it is at this point you need to phone Marine & Leisure Solutions on 00 44 (0)1483 419219 to obtain an installation code.  Our support staff will ask you for two items the first being the install number displayed during the  install and the second item will be your unique office code which is the first three letters of every yacht and contact record reference. For example Marine & Leisure Solutions = MLS.  After obtaining this number insert it into the box provided. Then continue.

Enter your company name in this next window and  continue. Confirm that you have entered the name correctly by clicking the 'Yes' button. 

Wizard step four
The final task is to load the word macro for the mail merge if you have done this before then you don't need to do it again. Press the Ok button and either select to unzip the file or close. 

You should now have successfully installed the upgrade.

This file contains a small program that allows you to fix data corruption in memo files. It will search for corrupted memo fields in a specified data table and delete the error replacing it with the text 'Fixed Error' . Please note any data in the corrupted field will be lost but all other data in the record will be recovered. Download the zip files and extract to the following directory. C:\ybpro32 . To run the utility you will have to have loaded the Yachtbroker 2000 service release 2.1.22 and above. Open the parameters page and select the button named Install - Click here to install. when the next window appears type in the code 'fixmemo' and continue. This will open the utility.

PDF Factory . This shareware product that allows you to create PDF files for emailing Yachtbroker Specifications and is a quarter of the price of Adobes PDF writer. It works immediately after loading but will put onto the first page of any PDF document it creates a one line message about itself. This gets removed after registration.

Remote Administrator . This evaluation program once installed allows another a remote administrator to take control of another PC either with a Local Area Network or across the internet. It is one of the fastest and cheapest remote access programs we have used and helps with support of Yachtbroker in extreme case. The evaluation program works immediately on installing but becomes inactive after 30 days unless a licence is obtained. Cost is around $35 per unit

At the next window make sure that your selected files are being extracted into the follow directory C:\ybpro32\temp and then press the extract button. This will extract the word files into the c:\ybpro32\temp directory. To print the manual open each of the word files and select to print. Each of the files names refer to the manuals page numbers i.e Pages1-10.Doc
