useful and presented here as questions.
Note: In these answers we will follow a few shorthand conventions for

- How do I create a line in a comment field...?
- Can I Fax or Email a yacht specification...?
- Why do I get an error message when saving a new yacht record ...?
- Can I change the labels on the comment fields...?
- When mail merging to word I don't get the insert field toolbar, why...?
- I have selected to mail merge to MS Word but nothing happens ... ?

To create a space or list in a comment field hold the Ctrl key down while
pressing the Enter key.

You can do both provided you have access to a modem and both fax and email software is
loaded to your machine. If these are in place open the specification of the boat you wish
to fax go to File->Print and select the fax printer to print to.
This will then output the specification report to the fax software. In the case of Email
go to File->Send->select .rtf or .html as the format this will then open
your email editor and attach the specification to the email message. PLEASE NOTE
THAT ANY LINKED PHOTO's WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THIS METHOD. Attach the photo's
as separate items.

The error is produced because you are trying to save a record without a reference
number, this is because you have added a new yacht record using the add record button on
the record selector bar on the bottom of the yacht pages. You must add a new record using
the File->Add yacht menu option. This will then create a record with a
new reference number.

In Yachtbroker 2000 you can not only select any label want for a given comment field
but you can also set up the a default set of labels when you add a new Yacht. To do this
go to the Yachtbroker 2000 main switchboard select the Parameters option and then select
the Edit default labels button. Manually edit the labels and close the parameters. Next
time you add a new Yacht the default labels will be shown.

The reason for this is that you don't have the mail merge macro template inserted in to
the MS Word startup file. To correct this problem go to the download section on this web
site and select to download the Mail Merge Macro self loading file. After downloading the
YBMM.exe file. Double click to open it and follow the on screen loading instructions.

This means that Yachtbroker can not find the location of MS Word. If you
have chosen to install word in a different location then the default,
Yachtbroker may not be able to find it. Check to see if MS Word is located in
the directory indicated in the Parameters section under Word Path. If it
is not edit this field to point at your MS Word location and run the mail
merge again.
